Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 August 2026
1. Who we are
These Terms govern your use of this Site and the purchase of any course, programme, subscription, or consultation offered on it (the "Services"). The Site is operated by Olivia Learning Hub Ltd (company number 17284620), trading as Olivia Teaches English, of Unit 19, Westerhope Small Business Park, Redburn Rd, Westerhope, Tyne and Wear, NE5 1NF, United Kingdom ("we," "us," "our").
2. Who can use this Site
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a Service.
3. The Services
We currently offer:
- English Tenses Course — a one-time-purchase, self-paced video course.
- Speaking Club — a monthly recurring subscription delivered via WhatsApp voice messages.
- IELTS Intensive Programme — a 5-week private 1:1 coaching programme.
- International Career Accelerator — a 4-week private 1:1 coaching programme.
- Private Consultation — a paid, hourly 1:1 session booked via Calendly.
The IELTS Intensive Programme and International Career Accelerator are coaching and skills-development programmes. We do not guarantee any specific result — including a specific exam score, job offer, or interview outcome.
4. Payment
One-time purchases and the Speaking Club subscription are processed via Stripe, which supports card payment and PayPal. We do not store your full card details. The Private Consultation is booked and paid for directly through Calendly's own payment integration. We also accept payment by cryptocurrency, arranged manually: you submit an enquiry, and we contact you directly to agree payment details, usually within 1–2 business days.
5. The Speaking Club subscription
The Speaking Club is billed monthly in advance and renews automatically until cancelled. Your first month is a minimum commitment and is non-refundable once the billing period begins. You may cancel at any time after your first month; cancellation stops future billing but does not refund the current billing period.
6. Certificates
Course and programme certificates issued on completion are a record of completion issued by Olivia Learning Hub Ltd, trading as Olivia Teaches English. They are not accredited by, or affiliated with, any government body, exam board, or professional accreditation scheme.
7. Your account
If a Service requires an account, you're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
8. Intellectual property
All course content, programme materials, and site content are owned by Olivia Learning Hub Ltd or licensed to us. Purchasing a Service gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use that content for your own learning — you may not copy, redistribute, resell, or publicly share it.
9. Acceptable use
Don't use the Site or Services to harass others, share illegal content, attempt to access other users' accounts, or interfere with the Site's operation.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Olivia Learning Hub Ltd's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the amount you paid for the Service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right you have as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other UK consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
